Stainless Steel Batch Pasteurizers

Pasteurizing is a fantastic way to improve the shelf life, quality, and cleanliness of your dairy products. From yogurt to raw milk, our machinery is designed for efficiency and versatility. The features and composition of our Batch Pasteurizers allow for fermentation as well as pasteurization, which opens your dairy’s doors to a whole new world of products.

Types of Batch Pasteurizers

The most common type of batch pasteurizer has a two-cover open top and is ideal for making cheese, yogurt, and other unique products. We know that the human element is important for creating, which is why we love the removable agitator feature on this model. It allows you to open the tank, check progress, add ingredients, remove curd, and do anything else you need to do to make the best products you possibly can. The access is easy to get to and simple to operate.

These close-top/side-top tanks are mostly used for fermentation and pasteurization. They are excellent at achieving and maintaining heating temperatures that protect your products and get the desired results. Their control panels are easy to use, and the construction is incredibly durable. A batch pasteurizer of this quality will, no doubt, take your micro dairy to the next level.

The batch pasteurizer is available in 50 gallons (170L) to 500 gallons (2000L).

Each unit has the following features:

  • Speed invertor
  • Stainless steel control panel
  • 7.5-inch touch screen interface
  • Product sensor – digital
  • Water sensor – digital

Electrical Heating Elements

With electrical heating elements, you don’t have to acquire an additional boiler unit, but you do have to adjust. For a reasonable pasteurization time (an hour or so), you have to provide at least four 7.5kW – 9kW heating elements. That’s a minimum of 30kW, which can be unavailable in some situations or locations.

Hot-Water Boilers

Setting up your batch pasteurizer with a boiler might cost more up front, but it’s really the best option. A boiler can reach desired temperatures in minutes. It has fully automatic stopping and starting capabilities, and it’s not the same burden that electric heating elements are.

What a Milk Pasteurizer Machine Is

A milk pasteurizer machine is a good choice for many dairy farms that want to sell commercially or simply prepare ahead of time for a market. Heating raw milk to a specific temperature is what eliminates those harmful bacteria from the liquid. Pasteurizing milk doesn’t impact the quality or the flavor of the milk, but it does make it safer and extend its shelf life.

The pasteurizers from Tessa’s Dairy Machinery are built with quality and durability in mind. The goal is always to keep your dairy farm running efficiently and to the required food-safety standards. Keep your animals and your customers happy with any one of these options!

When to Use a Batch Pasteurizer

Practically, these batch pasteurizers make the most sense for small to mid-sized dairies. They offer the control, automation, and flexibility that you need in order to expand your productivity without changing your entire process.

HTST equipment has its time and place, but the batch-style pasteurizers that we offer are easier to install, easier to use, and they’re more affordable. They’re perfectly suited for small setups, creameries, artisan cream dairies, and others seeking quality on a small scale.
