Milk (juice) pasteurizer, cheese and yogurt kettle Milky FJ100 PF (2x115V)

Built for the 100V-120V market, the Milky FJ 600 EAR “LongLife” DC is an electric cream separator that caters to medium-scale dairy farms and professional milk processors looking to grow their business. It is a high-volume machine capable of separating 600 liters (159 gallons) of milk in an hour with the reliability such operations require.

Rather than having a built-in milk container, this model is set up to be hosed directly into a milk tank. The hose itself is not supplied. For dairies and farms already running bulk milk tanks, it is an efficient way to get milk into the separator without extra handling.

Under the hood is a brushless motor complete with a speed regulator and frequency inverter. You will find this design more steady and less demanding on maintenance than a conventional brushed motor, while also affording a longer service life.

The machine’s construction speaks to its dependability. All parts that touch the milk are either food-safe aluminum or top-grade stainless steel. Within the drum, the anodized aluminum plates have a 14-micron coating to stave off any reaction with milk acids, which in turn protects the quality of the milk and the longevity of the equipment.

From cow and goat to sheep and camel milk, the FJ 600 EAR DC will efficiently yield cream, sour cream and low-fat milk. Fixing hooks are provided to ensure the unit stays put during use.

Strengths and Key Features

We have not come across any particular weaknesses with the Milky FJ 600 EAR “LongLife” DC. It is intended for those who must put through large quantities of milk every day.

The housing, float chamber, and outlets are all stainless steel for easy cleaning and hygienic, durable handling. The drum and discs inside are anodized aluminum; the 14-micron layer there is what keeps separation performance consistent and guards against acid from the milk.

Then there is the matter of the motor. Being brushless, it is suited to hard use and requires little in the way of upkeep. The integrated speed regulator ensures the separation is smooth. And for a farm with a bulk system, the direct connection via hose is a distinct advantage over models with built-in containers.

Using the Milky FJ 600 EAR DC

Start by bringing the milk to about 40°C (104°F). After you have switched the separator on and let it come to speed, open the flow from the tank through the hose.

By way of example, 10 liters of milk (2.6 gallons) should give you roughly a liter of cream. That finished cream will run at ten times the fat of the source milk, so 3.2% fat milk becomes approximately 32%. Should you prefer a lighter product, some of the skimmed milk can be blended in with the cream. We would advise putting 3 liters of hot water through the unit first to get the best results.

The EAR designation in the name is self-explanatory: E for electric, A for the aluminum components of the drum, and R for the stainless steel in contact with food.

A Fit for Medium Dairy Operations

For producers supplying fresh, natural goods to local markets, the Milky FJ 600 EAR DC is a sound investment. The capacity and speed allow a growing business to extract more value from what they produce each day.

On Quality and Reliability

You can count on the stainless steel for safe handling and the anodized discs to resist corrosion, much like our other separators. The brushless motor is put together for years of regular duty with minimal trouble, making it well suited to a demanding environment.

Safety

Do not overlook the need to have the drum and internal discs thoroughly dry before you begin. Residual milk or water can throw off the balance of the machine and compromise both safety and performance.
