There are times when a conventional pasteurizer simply cannot deliver the requisite capacity, control, and automation. In such cases, the stainless steel Milky FJ 50 PF is the answer. It is an all-in-one unit that can be put to work as a milk pasteurizer, a cheese kettle or a yogurt machine. This makes it well suited to the needs of small dairies, homesteads and farmstead producers, not to mention the home dairy operator who wants something more substantial. As for power requirements, those on 100V-120V systems will see a 2x115V/60Hz draw.

The FJ 50 PF has a minimum capacity of 25 liters (6.6 gallons) and can be filled to a maximum of 55 liters or 14.5 gallons. That makes it an asset for pasteurizing milk, churning out cheese and yogurt, heating cream, and other processing tasks.
The design is built around convenience and repeatability. With the electronic keypad, an operator has complete control of the temperature from 5°C to 94°C and can set a cycle for as long as 999 minutes, after which the unit will power down by itself. For those who put in day after day with the same pasteurization or cheese cycles, there are four programs that can be adjusted to suit.
The FJ 50 PF is equipped with an automatic mixer as standard, running at 0-104 rpm to keep the product in motion. This serves a dual purpose: it facilitates uniform heating and keeps scorching at bay.
With a 3 kW electric element at its disposal, the FJ 50 PF has no trouble getting to 94°C (201°F). The kettle’s stainless steel build is ideal for conducting that heat from the water over to the milk.
The PF model also has an advantage when it comes to cooling. After one has put in the drain and cooling water hoses, the unit will do the work of bringing the product down to the necessary temperature without any fuss. It is a hands-off process that lends itself to a smoother workflow.
For an operation wanting one machine to handle a variety of products from pasteurized milk and yogurt to cheese, the FJ 50 PF is hard to beat. The unit’s capabilities are not confined to dairy; it can be put to work on fruit juice pasteurization, for liquefying honey or turning it into wax, or for heating calf milk as well.
Then there is the matter of automation. Those in the 50-liter bracket who want more of that will find the FJ 50 PF to be a sensible step up from the likes of the FJ 50 E or the FJ 50 E Fully.
Reliability is ensured with the use of 304-grade stainless steel, which is easy to wash and stands up to long-term, sanitary use. The formed cover is there to contain steam and stop any dripping on the outside, while the internal wall is put together for strong heat transfer so the product heats uniformly.
Milky Day can be contacted for spare parts or any support needed for maintenance. For the specifics on the warranty, the Warranty & Returns page has the information.
For a more compact footprint, the Milky FJ 30 and FJ 30 NMIX are models to consider. The FJ 50 E or its Fully variant offer better value at an equivalent capacity for anyone not in need of all the automation. Then there is the Milky FJ 100 PF, which makes sense as the way to go when dealing with higher volumes.
